Water Professionals in Georgia Gather to Discuss Valve Adjustment and Maintenance

Macon, Georgia—The Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) convened today at the Amerson Water Treatment Plant for a meeting highlighting the importance of altitude and pressure valve adjustment and maintenance. Skylar Lipson from Harry Warren of Georgia was the speaker, delivering an interactive session focused on the hands-on commissioning of pressure and control valves.

The event provided valuable insights into valve adjustment and maintenance and allowed Macon Water Authority employees to earn two operator recertification points. Attendees enhanced their knowledge and skills while earning professional recognition.

The sessions conducted by skilled professionals like Lipson play a crucial role in helping water professionals stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and processes. By staying current with industry advancements, water professionals can ensure they can provide efficient and reliable services to their communities.

In addition to the practical knowledge shared during the meeting, these gatherings also serve as a platform for networking and collaboration among water professionals. Connecting with others in the field allows professionals to learn from each other, exchange ideas, and address common challenges in the industry.
